Bustillo Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Emilio Bustillo, DVM. He will be celebrating his 25 year anniversary of his life long dream of being a veterinarian. Since high school, he has worked in the veterinary field in the Miami area; first in 1972 at Southwest Animal Hospital with Dr. Boyd and Dr. Doty and then at Cabrera Animal Clinic with Dr. Cabrera.

To attain his goal, he did his undergraduate at the University of Miami and received his DVM degree from The National University Pedro H. Ureña, Santo Domingo in 1983. In addition, Dr. Bustillo received his intensive post-graduate training in small animal medicine and surgery at the prestigious animal medical center in New York City, the world’s largest private diagnostic center.

He has been honored as one of America’s Top Veterinarians, a member of America’s Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), America’s Dental Society, American Association of Feline Association, and the American Heartworm Society. Dr. Bustillo is a licensed and accredited veterinarian by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) which allows him to issue international and/or interstate health certificates.
